About Renny Thoms.
My name is Renny Thoms. I was born in Middle-Of-Nowhere, Oregon, in 1971. I am the first son of Rozella and Eugene Thoms. I have one brother, Rob, who is known for doing crazy things like spending four days hiking the Appalachian Trail when he could be inside enjoying the air conditioning.
My extended family is enormous, probably due to the fact that one of my great grandmothers had 13 children, and another had 9 children. I have more uncles and great-uncles than I can shake a stick at. I sometimes attend one of our family reunions in Middle-Of-Nowhere, Iowa. Last year the highlight of the trip was a working 1929 McCormick-Deering tractor.
I graduated with a B.S. in Mathematics from Stanford University in 1993, followed by an M.S. in Mathematics from Rutgers University in 1996. Since then, I have worked in the field of Software Development where I am currently a Manager.
