Interesting photos for your entertainment.
I'm an amateur photographer. That means that I spend plenty of money on equipment but don't ever hope to recover my expenses. It took a long time for me to go digital because I wanted a camera to replace my good ol' film SLR. I didn't want to wait a second for the camera to boot, I wanted reasonable performance at ISO 800, and I wanted excellent resolution. I finally got my wish in the Canon 20D, and I haven't looked back.

This picture was taken during a business trip to Rhode Island. The rock formation appears man made--in the lower right of the frame you can see some rust resulting from exposed rebar in a cement walkway.
This is a simple tulip from our yard, but I like the colorful blurred background.
This is a Magnolia bloom from our backyard in Pittsburgh. Interesting trivia tidbit: Magnolias encourage pollination by beetles--this probably has something to do with the fact that Magnolias have been around for 100 million years while bees have only been around for 40 million years.
